This is how Daniel Wang described disco influencing or splitting into nearly every electronic genre you dance to, a long time ago. Daniel is a Chinese-American DJ born in California who spent a decade in Taipei, returned to NYC, where he got the disco itch and earned a university degree, and became a producer, label owner, and quintessential DND DJ. He started Balihu Records in 1993 in Chicago and continued releasing Balihu Records from New York until about 2001. In the last twenty-something years, Daniel has resided in Berlin. Around 2015, Daniel released two personal mix CDs in Japan honouring New York's West End and Salsoul Records. A couple of years later, he completed 2 remixes for the artists Wolfgang Tillmans (yes, that one!) and Cerrone (double yes!). That leaves us with ten more years of wandering what type of disco shenanigans he has prepared for dancers around the world. You know how we do it, doors open at 18:00.
