KULT pres. Sonja Moonear

Minimal lineage meets Belgrade’s underground spirit on April 17 at Kult, as the CMOK collective takes over the booth for a night built on deep selectors, long transitions and dancefloor storytelling. Leading the night is Sonja Moonear, one of the most respected figures in contemporary minimal house and techno. The Swiss artist built her reputation over more than two decades with a sharp ear for records and an unmistakable sense for dancefloor dynamics, moving effortlessly between trippy house, minimal grooves and hypnotic techno. From the squat scene of Geneva in the ‘90s to becoming a resident at the legendary Weetamix club, Moonear developed a style that later connected her with the influential Perlon family and carried her to clubs and festivals around the world.  Before the main journey begins, the night opens with a proper warm-up from Vlada Janjić — one of those rare old-school heads who understands exactly how to set the tone of a room. Expect a patient build-up and carefully selected records that ease the dancefloor into motion the way real club nights are meant to begin. Closing duties belong to Runy, a local hero of the scene and the founder of the CMOK collective, whose deep understanding of the dancefloor and dedication to underground culture shaped this community in the first place. When the lights soften and the crowd locks in, Runy is the one who keeps the story going until the very last record. Three selectors, one booth, and a night built for those who still believe the best moments in the club happen somewhere between the groove and the crowd.
