To grasp the ambition of Richard Zepezauer and display the broadness of his efforts, let’s just say that a decade and a half ago, with Mike Huckaby, he set up the Sun Ra Reel to Reel session events, which featured none other than Jimi Tenor and Thomas Fehlmann, CGB-1, Pole, or Thomas Meinecke. The same format opened the Berlin Festival - Detroit Once Circle in 2018, alongside Mike Banks, Juan Atkins, Mark Ernestus, and Dimitri Hegemann. Somewhere in between, Richard got to work with the Berlin Academy of Arts on Wagner 2013, a classical opera project. Richard the DJ can be found most often at Berghain/Panoramabar or Concrete in Paris. But there’s also Richard, the radio host, who is caught playing ambient to house to unclassifiable works within a residency on Mutant Radio. All in all, every House you can imagine comes into the equation. Vemić & Doo take us back ten years ago, when they made some of Belgrade’s most influential nights together.
