YÖU IKAD! Isabel

YÖU was formed in October 2015, under the influence of DC’s “Revolu- tion Summer”, DIY Ethics, and the everyday grayness of Skopje. Their music is a blend of tradtional emo with blackgaze and post-metal elements, featuring driving, but oftentimes melodic gui- tars and screeching vocals over groove-heavy basslines and relent- lessly hard-hitting drums. Inspired by personal struggles and experiences, they released their first album “We Sing The Blues...” in 2017, accompanied by tours around Europe and the Balkans. Following a lineup change, they released the EP “River of Sadness” in 2024, reframing their sound to its current state, and after a few festival runs and shows around the region, they are ready to hit the road again with their new material. IKAD! is a new instrumental force dwelling on the edge of math rock, progressive, post-rock, and post-metal. Formed in 2024 in Belgrade, Serbia by three expats and seasoned musicians with years of experience across diverse projects, the trio has steadily shaped its own distinctive sound. After nearly two years, IKAD! is ready to showcase its refined artistry with a debut EP arriving on February 27. IKAD! blends playful, intricate rhythmic arrangements rooted in math rock and progressive music with atmospheric, mellow soundscapes drawn from post-rock and post-metal. Isabel is a five-piece beast from Pančevo on the border between avant-garde, post-metal and inarticulate noise. Always elegantly choreographed, but only a second away from a nervous breakdown; Isabel brings raw performance, screaming guitars and silences in between. In their two years of activity, they have toured numerous festivals, opened for world-famous names of the experimental metal scene, released their first album, and now a new single "Fever Room" with a video.
